Thy Eye was on a Sparrow

Thy eye is on a sparrow
A sparrow I cannot see

Thy eye is on a sparrow
Which you say is watching me

Thy eye is on a sparrow
That has you poised
With bow and arrow ready

Thy eye is on a sparrow
That you miss by only a few feet

Thy eye is on a sparrow
That I cannot see
But yet you tell me hold this sparrow steady

Thy eye is on a sparrow
Which you have made steady
With the last arrow you did release

Thy eye is on a sparrow
But the poor sparrow was not ready

Thy eye was on a sparrow
Now wounded
And cries in alarm

Thy eye was on a sparrow
Now I do see
That the poor sparrow is me

Thy eye was on a sparrow
That you waited for so patiently
That you missed at first only by a degree

Thy eye was on a sparrow
That you let another arrow enter
In order to solidify the purpose of this adventure
